5th and 6th grade students of the 2023-2024 school year participated in a two-day memorable adventure in Columbus, Ohio, that was orchestrated and sponsored by the board of Friends of Winton Hills Academy. Thank you to the WHA staff who gave of their personal time to chaperone, and to Sycamore Capital who's grant covered the significant bus expense.

The trip served as an incentive for good attendance, behavior and school work. Students experienced touring the Statehouse, exploring Ohio State University and the Columbus Zoo, and immersing themselves in the interactive exhibits at COSi. Beyond the educational experiences, the trip offered new adventures: a hotel stay with friends, dining at Olive Garden, bowling, visiting Other World, and catching a new-release in a movie theater. We are so proud of how they conducted themselves on the trip, they garnered positive attention on several occasions. At Olive Garden, nearby patrons and the restaurant manager went out of their way to completement the group. We look forward to planning another trip for the 2024-2025 school year!
